HOW IS ENERGY STORED IN ATP?
When a cell has excess energy, it adds a phosphate group to
ADP (Adenosine Diphosphate) to make ATP. When a cell
needs energy, it breaks the bond that between the second
and third phosphate groups of ATP, and energy is released.

NADPH - Nicotinamide adenine
dinucleotide phosphate
NADP is
converted to
NADPH
when
a hydrogen is
added to it.
Like ATP,
NADPH also
stores energy.
