Rosh Chodesh Nisan 2017 26 Mar, 2017 Judah Goes First – Release a new sound for breakthroughs!!! In Hebrew calendar Nisan - first month in God's yearly cycle of feasts.... Usually begins in Mar & spills over to April.... How can Nisan be the first month? Biblical year starts in the fall Sept!! Exo 34:22; Lev 25:9 but one does not start counting the months of the year until the spring. (Exo 12:2) Biblical timing often begins with a hidden season a pregnant preparation A new life begins at Conception At birth, begin to count the age. 1,2,3,4…….. 9 months of hiddenness Same with hours of the day...... Sunrise daily activity begins..... Long dark night Sun down God's yearly calendar is the same..... spring - life begins!! Life begins … New year begins at Rosh Hashana in September Fall… Winter Nisan is very significant 1. Root word Nissim - miracles!! Declare Miracles are happening in your lives !! Expect miracles this month!! 2. Also means redemption !! • Month of Passover - a time to celebrate redemption via blood of lamb and miracle of resurrection!! • Jews call this Month - Aviv - spring...... having come thru winter and spring has come!! • Another Hebrew word for spring is Tishuvah - repentance!! • Turn from cold dead season & move into a season of life.... • Part of Passover celebration - remove every defilement in house..... 3. Nisan - a month of Firstfruits!! • Barley harvest is Firstfruits of all harvests.....first crop to harvest in the spring!! • 2 sheaves are brought before God on Sun after Passover -Feast of First Fruits!! • • • • • Crops ripen all thru the year!! Barley in early Spring Wheat in early Summer Grapes in late summer Olives in the Fall 4. Nisan a Beginning month • beginning of harvest for the year (barley) • month of Passover, the beginning of God's yearly cycle of Feasts.... • The beginning of Israel as people of God.....month God redeemed them out of bondage in Egypt..... • Month of Exodus when God split Red Sea to bring them into Promised land.....beginning of Miracles!! • Jews would bring Firstfruits of every crop throughout the year ... • Barley is Firstfruits of harvests first of the firsts!!! That is why God chose that day for 1 of the greatest events in history - Jesus' resurrection!!! • Jesus died on Passover to be our Passover lamb but was raised on Feast of First Fruits- a guarantee our resurrections to come..... 5. Tribe associated with Nisan – Judah • Every month is linked with an understanding of 1 of the 12 tribes. • This month is linked with Judah– the apostolic leadership, warring tribe who knew how to operate with sound • (Nisan is associated with the Hebrew letter ‘Hei’ signifying violent praise!!) • Nisan is also the time of Spring when kings go out to war (2 Sam 10:1). • War for what is rightfully yours!! War for your covenant promises!! • Loose a sound of praise that will break you into a new dimension of victory and wholeness. • Declare it’s a time for healing and miracles!!! • Symbol - lion..... • Kingly tribe, tribe of Messiah... • Lions must roar!!! • Judah means Praise..... • From Heb word Yadah.... ‘extend the hand!!’ Picture of a child with hands lifted running to mum!! To praise God with lifted hands!! • Hand - a symbol of strength & power..... • Lifting up hands to God is giving God your strength & abilities, putting yourself in His hands! • Extend the hands in praise & in Battle • In warfare, Yadah means to extend the hand, throw a stone, spear or use a weapon to defeat the enemy!! • Judah is thus a tribe of Praise & War..... • Biblically praise and warfare are connected. Judah represents Praise! • The Jews were a people of praise. • It was their identity! • They hosted God’s presence in the earth through continual praise. • They were created to be a praise and a blessing to the entire earth. Fighting the enemy • Where is Judah? • In Jud 1:1-2, when Israel inquired of the Lord about who will go to fight against the Canaanites, God stated clearly, ‘Judah shall go up’ • In Jud 20:18, Israel again asked God who should go first to battle against Benjamin, answer is again, ‘Judah first!’ Lesson – whatever you do, whether in your journeying or warring, always begins with praise!! 3. Tabernacle position – gateway position- Praise is the key!! • Judah was positioned on the east of the Tabernacle, guarding the gateway to the Tabernacle!! Num 2:3 • God is showing that the way into His Presence is through Praise!! 4. Jerusalem – (where the Temple was ) a picture of God dwelling with His people in the midst of Praise!! • God assigned a portion of the land to each of the tribes. • He chose to establish His presence in Jerusalem, in the territory allotted to Judah. • Hence, when all the tribes wanted to meet with God, they came to Judah’s territory in Jerusalem because God’s presence always dwells in the midst of praise. • 2 Sam 6 Summary • Praise is a very important key God has given in every aspect of life. • Judah represents Praise. • Praise God for all occasions – when we are down or when we are up!! Using the Key of David!! • Key is related to opening and shutting of doors. • This is the year of open doors!!! What does David represent? • Priest, prophet and king!! • The key of David represents 3 dimensions of worship (expressed in the book of Psalms) Priestly worship intimacy with God Prophetic worship receiving revelation from God Apostolic worship executing His authority in worship!! • Let’s strategically & continually use the Key of David to open doors which no one can shut, and shut doors which should not be opened!! • God is shaking nations & opening new doors!! • We need to be positioned like Judah to praise Him, declare what He is saying & executing His authority !! • May His Kingdom come & His Will be done here as it is in heaven!! • Release a new sound that aligns with Heaven to bring breakthrough on earth.
