Job Title:
Production Plant Operator
Reporting to: Production Manager
Purpose:
To actively work as a critical member of the production team, helping to
ensure the defined quantity of product is ready for delivery on time,
within the specified quality standard and budget costs. The three main
elements of the production process are mineral processing, thermal
treatment, and chemical processing; the successful candidate will be
involved all three areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Work within Health, Safety and Environmental Systems and Procedures.
Operate within the company’s core values.
Operating the production plant to achieve the quantities stipulated to
our quality standards, within the targeted time frames.

Maintaining plant cleanliness within production facility.

Partake in regular communications so as to support continuous
improvement of the business.

Operate mobile plant as part of daily duties, handling raw materials
and finished goods.

Regular measurement and timely communication regarding stock.

Prepare and package products for sale and delivery.

Liaising and collaborating with other departments to ensure the
success of the company.

Working with management to maximise efficiency and plant
availability.

Working within internal and external teams.

Use experience to consider and propose new techniques and/or
technologies to optimise costs and to improve productivity of the installed
equipment.

Anything else required of you to achieve the success and goals of the
organisation.




Job Title:

Essential Criteria:

3 years’ experience within the manufacturing industry and operating
within a processing environment.

Proven technical and operational skills with the ability to deliver results.

Good communication skills, planning, integrity.

Evidence of the ability to work productively as a member of a team.

Results focused with ability to work on own initiative.

Evidence of a practical and logical approach to problem solving.

Capacity to work well under pressure.

Good level of numeric skills

Work within Health, Safety and Environmental Systems and Procedures.

Competent use of IT equipment (including spreadsheets and email).

Working within H&S rules and safe practices, be willing to carry out this
physical role which will require lifting and moving of items.

Available to work additional hours as necessary to ensure business
needs are met.

Compliance with banah core values.
Desirable Criteria:

Relevant mobile plant training. (E.g. counter balance forklift,
telescopic, shovel, dumper trucks, etc.).

5 years’ experience within the manufacturing industry and operating
within a processing environment.

Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a manufacturing
environment

Experience in cement, mining, mineral processing or chemical
processing.

Job Specification
Current salary -
£17,749 (£9.20 per hour)
Overtime -
Over and above 39 hour week 1.5times normal salary is paid
Overtime agreed in advance with management
Working hours –
37 hour week
Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm
Friday 8am-1pm
30 minute lunch break and two 15 minute tea breaks
Payable monthly in arrears
Holidays -
21 days plus 9 statutory (30 days in total)
Days between Christmas and New Year are compulsory holidays

recruiting a production plant operator for their new plant in Macosquin, Coleraine.
The successful applicant will:




have at least 3 years’ experience working in a production plant.
be willing to adapt to new ways of operating in a fast moving / growth
environment.
be willing to work towards displaying the company’s core values

following safe practice and working within the requirements of the manual
handling regulations, be willing to carry out this physical role which will require
significant manual handling operations
Having additional certification for mobile plant (eg. Fork Lift Truck, Loader or Dumper)
is desirable.
