GRANTMAKING
We help ensure the safety, security and visibility of
LGBTQI people by expanding resources. We are the
first funder to hundreds of LGBTQI groups and the
largest public funder of LGBTQI organizations in the
Global South & East.
CAPACITY BUILDING
& LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
It takes deep investment to grow and sustain a
movement. We work closely with our grantee partners
to build their capacity and strategic advocacy skills.
We invest in our grantee partners’ success by
connecting them to each other—fostering relationships,
collaborations & shared knowledge. We want
generations of leaders and strong organizations to thrive!
PHILANTHROPIC ADVOCACY
MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS
We connect and leverage relationships amongst
individual and organizational donors and grantee
activist-partners because we believe social justice
happens when our combined perspectives,
experiences and resources are in the room. Astraea
educates on structural funding gaps that exclude
our communities because collectively we have
the power to eradicate these differences and grow
our resources.
Change happens when our communities are
visible and our voices are heard. Through online,
print, and social media, videos, blogs and
tweets, Astraea brings you the latest news and
progressive perspectives of our grantees, donors,
colleagues and the many allies that make up
the Astraea community.
