The Role
CWB Group is currently seeking to add one new member to its Board of Directors in this unpaid
volunteer position. This role would include working with 12 other board members to provide
governance oversight and direction to the CWB Group of companies. The selected individual
must be willing to attend quarterly board meetings and participate in subcommittees as required,
and it is expected that the successful incumbent will be available two days per quarter for virtual
and/or face to face meetings.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate would possess the following skills and attributes:





Strong financial acumen, with a CPA (CA or CGA designation preferred)
Strategic planning capabilities – ability to critically access strategic opportunities and
threats, develop strategies accordingly
Knowledge of strategic financial and tax strategies and structures
Senior leadership experience, experience in corporate governance an asset
Knowledge of the welding and joining industry would be considered an asset
