This beginning level workshop, presented by PCDA’s interdisciplinary team (MD, die cian, occupa onal therapist, psychologist) will cover typical developmental ea ng and feeding progression, early feeding issues (reflux, allergies), feeding issues in children who are medically fragile, how to address feeding challenges in children on the au sm spectrum, the impact of trauma on ea ng behaviors, and how to address toddler dietary and food behavior issues (e.g., hoarding, selec ve diets). All of these topics will be discussed in the context of building healthy rela onships, within a DIR approach to feeding, and emphasize the importance of posi ve rela onships in promo ng healthy ea ng. Par cipants will gain strategies to work with parents and learn guidelines for helping children develop and maintain healthy ea ng behaviors. Funding Provided by The California Endowment
