POOL RULES
1. WALK - NO RUNNING!
2. NO wrestling, horseplay, spitting, splashing, punching or pulling others into the pool. Snapping of towels prohibited. Violators
are subject to bench penalty. NO entering or exiting of pool at red lined areas.
3. Toys, rubber balls, diving masks, flotation devices, inner tubes, snorkels, fins, etc., are not permitted.
4. Dogs or other pets - not permitted on pool grounds or in any park area of either pool.
5. Diving is permitted only from 10’ end area of main pool.






No swimming permitted in diving area.
Only one (1) person at a time shall be permitted to dive into the water.
Divers SHALL NOT dive until the previous diver has cleared the area.
Diving NOT permitted from sides of the pool.
Running dives from the deck are NOT PERMITTED.
Ladders MUST be used when leaving diving area.
6. It is suggested that all persons take a cleansing shower, using warm water and soap before entering the pool facilities.
7. Any person showing evidence of skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharge, or any communicable disease,
excessive sunburn, open blisters or cuts or bandages, SHALL BE refused admission.
8. No glass containers will be permitted in pool area.
9. No personal umbrellas permitted within fenced area.
10. People in street clothes will not be permitted in water and must remain behind yellow lines.
11. Violators of swimming rules are subject to revocation of swim privileges.
12. All food and drink should be kept in snack area.
13. Use of obscene or abusive language will be grounds for loss of pool membership.
14. Audio devices must be played at a very low volume.
15. In case of emergency, everyone must get out of water and remain behind the yellow line.
16. Use of the wading pool shall be limited to small children.
17. Supervision of the child in wading pool area shall be the responsibility of person bringing the child to the pool.
AT NO TIME SHALL A CHILD UNDER 6 YEARS OF AGE BE LEFT UNATTENDED. Children not toilet trained
must wear diapers with waterproof covering. Please dispose of diapers properly (NOT in cans by poolside).
18. Adult swim will be held at the discretion of the pool manager.
19. Small children who are non-swimmers MUST be accompanied by an adult in the adult pool.
20. Safety drills MAY BE conducted at any time.
21. Contact manager for use of chairlift.
WATER SLIDE RULES

You MUST be at least 48” tall and able to swim one pool length.
Only one (1) rider at a time. No doubles, trains or chains.
Enter slide in a sitting position and ride slide feet first, either sitting or lying down on back.
Keep arms and feet inside flume. DO NOT STOP on slide.
Splashdown area must be clear before next rider begins descent.
Exit splashdown pool area immediately.
Form waiting line on pool deck - not slide stairway.
WARNING - Pregnant women and riders with a heart or back condition should not use this ride.
WARNING - Failure to follow slide rules can result in serious injury to yourself and others and loss of your privilege to use
slide.

MEMBERSHIP RULES AND CHARGES

Membership limited to bona fide Livingston and former residents who have had active memberships within the past three
years; Roseland residents; and Essex Fells residents only. Former Livingston, Roseland and Essex Fells residents are charged
prevailing non-resident rates. Members may use either pool. NO REFUNDS once pools are open.
Members shall be accorded guest privileges as follows:
A. Guest privileges WILL NOT be granted to residents of Livingston.
B. Guest privileges LIMITED to non - resident guests of pool members.
C. Guest passes MUST be purchased by the pool member and guests must show proof of non-residency, if requested, upon
admission to the pool area.
D. Guest passes may be purchased at the Livingston Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Ave.— Monday through Friday,
8:30AM to 4:30PM. Guest passes are $10.00 per guest and may be purchased at the office or at the pool.
E. Guest passes are valid every day including weekends and holidays. Those guest passes purchased on weekdays at the Senior, Youth & Leisure Office are also valid on weekends and holidays.
F. The Senior, Youth & Leisure Services office will maintain guest privilege records for all memberships.
G. Guests will receive a credit on their account for a guest pass for admission to the pool. Upon entering the pool the gate attendant will debit the guest pass on their respective account.
H. Penalties for violation of normal rules and regulations will be assumed by membership sponsoring guest.
I. NO REFUNDS ON GUEST PASSES. All passes become void at the end of the season and MAY NOT be used in a subsequent season.
J. Children under one (1) year of age DO NOT need a guest pass.
K. Guest passes used for less than two (2) hours due to closing by the management will be revalidated for future use.

Each member will be issued a digital photo membership pass. Upon entering, pass must be handed to the gate checker to be
scanned.
Lost or broken cards must be reported IMMEDIATELY to the Senior, Youth & Leisure Services. Continued swim privileges
will require a service charge for all replacement cards of $17.00 per card.
Membership cards are NON-TRANSFERABLE. Anyone transferring and/or anyone who is the recipient of a transferred card
who is also a pool member, will lose swimming privileges for seven (7) days. The second offense will be cause for revocation of
privileges for the entire season. If the transfer occurs at the end of the season, the penalty shall carry over to the next season.
FURTHERMORE, THE PENALTY SHALL NOT BE IN EFFECT UNTIL THE PASS IS IN THE POSSESSION OF
SENIOR, YOUTH & LEISURE SERVICES. TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED.
6. The penalty for defacing property, a conviction of theft on the pool premises, or the giving of false information shall be the loss
of swimming privileges for the individual.
7. Where there is evidence that the card has been defaced, the member will be subject to the loss of swim privileges for one week
and shall be charged $17.00 for a new card second offense, card will be revoked for two weeks and $17.00 charged for a new
card; third offense, swimming privileges revoked for the season.
8. A child who will be 11 on or before December 31st will be considered 11 years of age. No child under 11 years is permitted to
use the pool unless accompanied by a member 16 years of age or older who shall remain within the confines of the pool area and
take responsibility for that child.
9. Membership is required for everyone whose 1st birthday falls anytime within the calendar year.
10. A person whose 24th birthday falls anytime within the calendar year may be included in the family plan.
11. When members are provided added privileges, i.e., eleven (11), sixteen (16), and/or twenty four (24), either the original or a
true copy of the birth certificate for that member shall be submitted at the time of the application for pool membership. All ages
are as of December 31st. Birth certificates need only be verified once.
12. All children turning 3, 7, 11, and 16 by December 31st will need to have a new photo taken at the time of registration.
