"I recently discovered Icing Images products and I am so glad I did! I love how I can expand my decorating horizons using
the new Food Safe Sweet Accents Machine. So many fun things...here is just one!" - Sarah Myers, High Five Cakes.
Products Used:
 Spellbinder® Sweet Accents™ for Icing Images®- The Only Food Safe Die Cutting and
Embossing System.
 Desired structure for frame (I used SimiCakes isomalt. You can use dried gumpaste or
chocolate as well).
 2-3 printed Icing Images iDesign™ printed pattern on an Icing Images Premium Icing
Sheet™. ( I used iDesigns # 269 & 352)
 An Icing Image printed picture cut to desired size.
 3 frame dies ( I used Sweet Accents Grand Labels 23):
 The smallest of the three should just fit around printed photo.
 The second should be one size up from smallest size.
 The third should be the largest and the size that you wish the finished frame to be.
 Additional Sweet Accents food safe dies. Can use, flowers, butterflies, etc. (I used
Sweet Accents Food Safe- Aster Die)
 Any additional accents that you would like to embellish the finished piece.
 Water and/or shortening and a wide brush (not pictured)
1. Start with pattern desired for the actual frame.
2. On Plate C, lay the Premium Icing Sheet with the backing on, print side up.
3. Place the largest die (cut side down) and then center the middle sized die (cut side down) within to
create a frame.
Note: I absolutely love the Icing Images iDesigns™ program. I can choose from over 1000 different
patterns that are licensed for edible use. I have so many options, I never run out and I am constantly
finding new ideas! Plus you don't have to have an edible printer to get iDesigns!
4. Place Plate A on top of the "sandwich" you are creating.
5. Carefully run the sandwich through the machine. Be sure when placing it on top that the frames don't shift.
Note: I only use the Sweet Accents Die cutting and embossing system because it is the only truly food safe
die cutter and embosser on the market.
6. Remove cut frame and set aside.
7. The second cut will create the matte surrounding the image.
8. Using the same cutting sandwich as above place the largest frame on desired sheet. Center the

smallest frame inside it and run through machine.
9. You may add any additional dies to any of the unused areas of the printed sheets that are not part of
the frames. These can be used as embellishments or saved for another project.
Note: Never throw any of your scraps away. You can use them for future projects & you can use the
Sweet Accents food safe Lattice die to make your own designer confetti!
10. Place the first frame an top of the second.
11. Very carefully align all 4 sides to assure a centered matte and clean edges.
12. Once all edges are aligned, very carefully lift them and apply shortening or water very
sparingly around the backside of the entire top frame.
Note: Shortening is recommended when using a darker pattern under a lighter pattern to
avoid any bleeding of colors.
Note: Be careful not to get shortening or water on top of icing sheet where pattern shows,
this will cause the inks to run.
13. Press firmly as you "glue" the pieces together to
assure clean edges and strong adhesion.
14. This is what it should look like after adhering the
pieces together
Note: Icing Images Premium Icing Sheets are the only
ones with the easy peel backing! They also stay flexible
longer without cracking and chipping!
15. Create your sandwich again with the C plate on the bottom, the icing sheet
face up and the largest frame die over the picture that you have chosen. Be sure
that image is centered within the die. Place plate A on top.
Note: I love the true colors that Icing Images inks print. Plus I don't have clogging
issues!

16. Carefully run it through the Sweet Accents Machine.
Note: I love the portability and ease of the Sweet Accents. Because it doesn't use any
electricity I can take it anywhere. Plus I only need to spin the handle a few times and I
am done! Quick, Easy and no learning curve! Plus it is food safe!

17. Very carefully remove cut image.
18. Place the frame on top of the cut picture. Be sure to align all
edges as before.
19. Carefully lift edges and brush sparingly with water or shortening
to adhere the frame to the image. Be sure to press firmly as you go.
20. If you have chosen a third pattern, choose dies for embellishments. Arrange on
sheet and cut. Remember you can completely fill the icing sheet with dies and even
nest dies for amazing results.
Note: The Sweet Accents dies are the ONLY FOOD SAFE dies on the market. They were
specially designed for food use keeping you and your customers safe from metal
chipping and non-food grade products.
21. Adhere the frame to structure of choice. If you used gumpaste you may
use an edible glue to adhere or water sparingly. If you used isomalt, you can
heat the surface with a torch and press the frame into place.
Note: The Sweet Accents dies can be used as molds for Isomalt. Simply apply
shortening to the die, place die on heat protected surface such as foil and
pour hot isomalt in to die. Let set and carefully remove die from isomalt.
22. Now is the fun part! Decorate your frame! You
can use edible glue, water or isomalt to attach
embellishments.
Note: When adding embellishments, you can
create layers and dimension by stacking the
accents. Have fun with it!
23. Be sure to press firmly.
24. These frames are great for cake toppers, as
center pieces.
Here is the final product!
You can create so many
variations using iDesigns,
Colored and Lustered Icing
Sheets, and the
Sweet Accents food safe dies!
The sky is the limit!
Happy Decorating!
