GUIDELINES
1. In the event that a team that is selected to participate and withdraws after April 15,
2015, the team will be ineligible to participate in the 2017 National Convention
Step Show.
2. All members of the team must be present at a mandatory meeting onsite; date and
time will be provided. Members not in attendance will not be allowed to step unless
they have received an excused absence prior to the meeting from the National
Second Vice President.
3. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners. First Place: $2000, Second Place:
$1500, and Third Place: $1000.
ELIGIBILITY
1. All Step Show Participants must be financially active and in good standing
with the Sorority. *Financially active indicates that dues have been paid for
the fiscal year in which the 2015 National Convention takes place* (must be
financial for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 to participate in the National Convention
in Houston, Texas.)
2. Chapters of participating team’s must be in compliance for the 2014-2015,
2015-2016 sorority year and in good standing with the Sorority.
3. Each team may include up to 20 individuals, including stage helpers. At least
one more than half of the team (including stage helpers) must be registered for
the 52nd National Convention.
4. Any team not meeting the specific criteria in #3 must pay a $250.00 fee in
order to participate. This is a ONE-TIME ALL INCLUSIVE TEAM fee.

a. Following the notification of participation, the $250.00 participation
fee must be paid to National Headquarters and postmarked on or prior
to Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
b. Failure to remit payment to National Headquarters will result in
disqualification of the team. Payment, in the form of a Cashiers’ Check
or Money Order should be mailed to:

Only one team per chapter can compete and no chapter or team member(s) can
combine with another chapter to form a team.
Every member of each team must sign and submit a liability waiver.
A Declaration Form, Participation Form, and Waiver will be required of each
team. These forms must be completed and submitted by Wednesday, April 15,
2015. Failure to comply will be result in disqualification.
Access/backstage passes will be issued to all official participants during the
onsite Step Show Meeting. Participants are to remain backstage before, and
immediately following performances. No reserved seating is available for
show participants and or stagehands.
*Collegiate teams are permitted to include members that have recently
graduated (in December 2014 and May/June 2015) to participate on their team.
However all other above stated requirements (i.e. Financial and in good
standing) must be met.

Performances and outfits must be of good taste and decency.
Music lyrics may not contain profanity, or be in poor taste.
No element of the show should be disrespectful to other organizations.
The performance time limit is 10 minutes. Teams that exceed the allotted time
will be penalized 5 points for every 30 seconds over time.
5. Teams must bear the expenses for all approved special effects.
6. Any monetary winnings will be made payable to and mailed via check directly to
the chapter official mailing address as outlined in the Red Zone which should
match the application address following the close of the 52nd National
Convention.
