Contact a Customer Service Representative at any location for details. r Come in and open your new First Sentry Bank account. r Verify that all checks have cleared your old checking account and make sure there are sufficient funds in your account to allow for any automatic payments that haven’t been withdrawn; including any Internet banking bill payments (remember to cancel any recurring online payments). r Recheck maturity dates of Certificates of Deposit to avoid any possible penalties. r Send written notice to your direct depositors (payroll, investment interest, etc.) regarding the change in your banking relationship or to request a new direct deposit (use the Application for Direct Deposit form). r Send written notice to your federal government benefit direct depositors (SSI,VA, Social Security, etc.) regarding the change in your banking relationship or request a new direct deposit (use the Application for Federal Govt Direct Deposit form). r Send written notice to the companies that automatically withdraw payments from your account and let them know you are changing accounts and financial institutions and need to change the account information (use the Automatic Payment Authorization form). r If you wish to begin new automatic payments, notify new vendors (use the Automatic Payment Authorization form). r Send written notice to any vendors to cancel any automatic payments with that company (use the Automatic Payment Cancellation form). r Send a written notice requesting the old account(s) be closed and give direction for disbursement of any remaining funds (use the Account Closing Request form).
