Friday, November 18, Kindergarten
classes will be going to the Leslie
Science Center from 9:00 – 11:30 am.
For $6, parents may ride the bus and
attend as a chaperone. If siblings come
as well, you have to drive separate.
How to Help at Home
 Use Everyday Math and Kids
A-Z to practice reading and
math at home!




Always read with your child – every
night if possible!
Do the sight word activities
Ask your child to start identifying the
sound at beginning of words
Create and use the ABC books sent
as homework

This Week’s Highlights
What a packed week! We did tons of
writing assessments for report cards
and district information and they really
did awesome! I am impressed with how
many words they remember how to
spell correctly. We created a class “no”
book for “No”vember. It is almost
completed and will be published and
put in our reading corner.
We started listening exclusively for end
sounds after becoming very confident
with beginning sounds during phonics.
In Math, we were focusing on position
words and made some pretty cool
maps.
We are covering a mini Health unit that
will end in the middle of week.
On Monday before the election, we
talked about voting and making
informed decisions.
