Team One at the SWAT ROUND-UP
Team One Network kicked the fall season off by attending the National
Capital Regional Swat Competition in Fairfax, VA on October 4th & 5th.
Jason Meyer represented the Team One booth offering demonstrations
and information about Team One Network courses. Ty Weaver and John
Pollack conduct a lecture on mechanical breaching equipment and
techniques. Once all the fun stopped at the SWAT competition, Team One
quickly got to work doing what we do best: Train to Win!
First up was a two-day Shoot House Instructor course hosted by the
Prince William County Training Academy in Nokesville, VA on October 7th&
8th. Janice Peacemaker from the Prince William County P.D. coordinated
the course with Ben Fravel & Joe Tuzzolino providing the instruction for
Team One.

John Meyer and Greg Dickson attended the COPS West Show in Ontario,
CA Oct. 7th & 8th.
Next up were two courses hosted by the Stafford County Fire Training
and Logistics Center in Stafford, VA on October 27th-29th. First was a
Tactical Breaching Techniques course instructed by Ty Weaver. Next
we conducted a Low Light/Laser Instructor course instructed by Steve
Johnson. Both courses were coordinated by 1st Sgt. Frank Martello of the
Stafford County Sheriff’s Department.
November started and finished with a series of West Coast courses held in
California. A Springfield Armory Armorer course in Fontana on November
3rd-5th kicked off the month. Charles Padula provided the instruction for
Team One. Michele Huff from the Fontana P.D coordinated the course.
Chem/Bio Workshop Practical Exercise
During the same week we also conducted courses in Dublin, CA at the
Alameda County Sheriff’s Regional Training Center. John Meyer and
Steve Johnson instructed a Shoot House Instructor course on November
3rd - 4th . Then Steve Johnson went solo and instructed a Low Light/ Laser
Instructor course Nov. 5th-7th. Both courses were coordinated by Sgt. Rob
McElroy from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department.
Bill Strang and Rick Hockensmith also ventured out to CA to join John
Meyer to attend IACP in San Diego on Nov 8th-11th. Team One Network
Sponsors in attendance were 5.11 Tactical, Blackhawk, Force on Force,
EO Tech, Lion Apparel, MSA, Oakley, Otis, Patriot 3, Police one.com,
Point Blank, Protech, Redman, Ruger, Simunition, Springfield, Springfield

That same week, Team One was back East with Trevin Sorby instructing a
Low Light / Laser Instructor course in Memphis, TN on November 9th-11th.
This course was hosted by Memphis Police Department Firearms Training
Unit and was coordinated by Michael Branning of the Memphis P.D.
Team One headed back to California to instruct two back-to-back courses
in Merced, CA. Ty Weaver first taught a Sage Armorer course on Nov.
17th & 18th. He followed that up with a Sage Less Lethal Ordnance System
Instructor course Nov. 19th-21st. Both courses were hosted by the Merced
Police Department and were coordinated by Sgt. Jay Struble.
December saw the year come to an end with a few courses a little closer
to home. Todd Valentine, John and Jason Meyer attended the SWAT
Round-up in Orlando, FL Dec. 1st-4th. Ty Weaver and John Pollack taught a
Tactical Mechanical Breaching course utilizing Blackhawk Dynamic Entry
Equipment, Ogura Hydraulic Breaching Tools on BTI Breaching Doors.
Marty Labrusciano instructed a Chem/Bio Rescue wear workshop utilizing
Lion apparel Tactix 94 Chem/Bio suits and MSA SCBA’s. Sponsors in
attendance were 5.11 Tactical, Blackhawk, EO Tech, Eagle, Lion Apparel,
MSA, Oakley, Otis, Patriot 3, Point blank, Protech, Redman, Simunition,
Springfield, Savage Range Systems, Springfield Armory, Storm Case,
Streamlight, TSSI and Under Armour.

Next on the schedule was a Springfield Armory XD Armorer course in
Bowling Green, OH on Dec. 4th. John Zamrok provided the instruction. The
course was hosted by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office and Lt. William
Ervin Jr. provided the coordination efforts.
Bob Bossey was up next conducting a Springfield Armory 1911 Armorer
course and 2 Springfield Armor XD armorers’ courses at the IALEFI RTC
held in Salemburg, NC Justice Academy Nov. 12th-14th. Jason Meyer and
Todd Valentine attended the Vendors Show.All coordination efforts were
handled by Steve Johnson.
Chem/Bio Obstacle /Navigation Dril
John Meyer attended the Illinois Tactical Officers Association Conference
in Chicago, IL Nov. 23-24. Sponsors in attendance were 5.11 Tactical Dick
Kramer, Eagle, Police one.com, Protech, Springfield Armory and Sage
Ordnance.
John Meyer flew down to warm & sunny Florida to instruct a Sage Less
Lethal Ordnance System Instructor course hosted by the West Palm
Beach Police Department on Dec. 15th-17th. Coordination for the course
was provided by Bill Sandman of the WPB P.D.
To finish out the year, Bill Sandman and Steve Johnson braved the cold
& rainy elements instructing a Low Light CQB Operations course in
Wilmington, DE on Dec. 18th & 19th. Sean Finerty coordinated the course
hosted by the Wilmington Police Department.

TSSI News
It has been five months since Team One Network and Tactical and
Survival Specialties, Inc announced the formation of a strategic
partnership between the two companies. This has proven to be a very
busy and exciting time.
This relationship has created numerous additional opportunities for both
companies. TSSI has put Team One on the GSA schedule and added the
entire Team One Brochure to the nearly 500 page TSSI catalog. We all
have been moving very fast adding new Instructors, courses, programs
and sponsors.
