What did I learn?
Results

Examine and organize your findings.
– Write your observations/measurements down
in complete sentences.
– Place them in order.
– Identify any patterns.
Example of Results

Five daisies were grown in each type of
light. Plants grown in white light grew an
average of 5 inches. Plants grown in red
light grew an average of 3 inches. Finally,
plants grown in green light grew an
average of 6 inches.
Conclusion
What did you prove or find out?
 Was your hypothesis correct?
 Explain possible reasons for your results
 How could you improve this experiment?

Example of Conclusion

Plants grow better in green light than in
red or white light. My hypothesis stated
that plants would grow best in white light,
however, my results proved this prediction
wrong. The difference in average height
between plants grown in green light and
plants grown in white light was only one
inch. To ensure that my results are
accurate, I would need to conduct more
trials.
Application

How could the information from your
project be used in the real world?
Example of Application

Knowing which type of light results in
quicker plant growth would assist plant
nurseries in growing plants faster and
thus, increase their profits.
