Location of Sync Devices: Memorial - ICU, 2N, Physician Lounge and 4 NW Voorhees - ICU, Physician Lounge and 4th floor (Physician Room) Marlton - ICU, Lounge, 3 South Berlin - Physician Lounge How to Log On to MData: Turn your device on From the Pocket PC, Tap the Start menu, then Tap the MData icon From the Palm, Tap the MData icon on the Main screen Input your PIN# (enter the default of 1111) Change your PIN to one of your choosing 3. To Sync your Device Place your PDA in the Sync Station Make sure the device is in the pocket with the IR port pointing up o (some devices may have the IR on the side) Click the Sync button 4. How to Change your PIN # Use the Default PIN 1111 On the Census Screen: Tap Census Tap Change PIN Enter Old Pin Enter New Pin Note: If you start to enter an incorrect PIN, just continue to key it in. You will receive an error message "Incorrect Pin". Click "OK" and re-enter the correct PIN. 5. To Return to your Main PDA Screen: From the Census Screen: Tap the Launch Button Tap Lock and Exit 6. Help Screens Help is available by pressing one of the buttons on the screen for 1 second 1 Census Screen Patient List (Note: All patients listed are not Virtua patients) Patient Room Number and Name Green numbers indicate - New Information Tap Room number for Hot List Tap Patient Name for Patient Home Screen "c" after the patient name Indicates a Consult Census Drop Down Menu Census Show Hidden Patients Sort by Name Configure Find Change PIN About MData Facility Drop Down Menu Tap All Physician can view patient data at multiple sites Only one active data set may be viewed at a time. Same PIN # may be used for both sites Selecting a List Tap All Edit Lists SYNC Button Buttons: Information icon Sync icon Launch icon - Edit Links and Lock & Exit Plus Sign Icon : Add a patient to your list To Add a patient to your list: Tap the plus sign and key in the MR number To Remove a Patient: Tap the "Minus" icon next to the Patient Room # or from the Patient Home screen Note: Added patients may be deleted at the user's discretion, but only from within the list they were added to. Manually added patients cannot be deleted from the "All" list. . 2 Patient Home Screen Patient Home Screen: Patient location, medical record number, attending physician, age, race, and sex. Tap on a field with a dotted outline to see more information about the patient Buttons: Information (i icon) - displays the latest information update. It notifies you of user tips, downtimes, etc. Meds (Rx icon) Displays name, dosage of ordered medications Sort Order: active scheduled, active PRN Discontinued (in red; stays on for 48 hours) Tap med name for detail screen If applicable, allergies listed at bottom of screen Reports (paper icon) - All text reports for the last 7 days. An FYI on the popup menu will come up and show any shared messages here and on the hot list. Labs - (beaker icon) Pop Up List - All test results for last 7 days (micros for the last 30 days) Tap lab test for detail Hot List (star icon) Contains all lab results and text reports Abnormal values in Red Sort Order: 24 hrs, 48 hrs, 72 hrs, All, and Chrono Sort Order: configure To activate: tap the patient room number from the patient home screen or tap the Star from the Patient Home Screen Also: An FYI on the popup menu will come up and show any shared messages. Launch -(rocket icon) Edit Links Lock and Exit- Must use this to exit MData Follow me Appointment Scribble Button and shared notes Allows you to share Keyboard based messages (not graffiti) with your colleagues Tap the Pencil button and compose the message Tap Scribble Tap Share 3 Patient Home Screen (con't) Your message will stay in the "Pending Share" state until your next sync. After the sync, the message will be shared with all MData users who have access to this patient. Only one message may be shared per patient per day.
