Antenna Systems Fact Sheet - English Security Antenna systems The architect’s favorite it is hard to believe we have managed to fit this much performance into something as thin as this. Our antennae are especially designed to blend into your library whilst maintaining the open character of your building. With its sleek design (only 20mm width) and high performance, the fully transparent gates are an absolute must-have for every library. Eco Reader Every RFID security gate is equipped with a reader that reads the information that is stored on the labels that are placed in a book or cd/dvd. Throughout the years, we have learned a lot about developing and producing RFID readers for libraries. These experiences have enabled us to create a new generation in readers: the Librix Eco Reader. Created just for library security gates. 02 Start saving energy Every Librix Eco Reader comes with a free energy management module. This implies that for each reader, you can decide at which time you want the reader to be powered and when you want it to shut down. When you connect to our online platform Librix Online, you can even set different times for all days of the week. On a yearly basis, this can save more than 60% in energy consumption. Because in our opinion, every milliwatt counts. Think green The housing of the Eco Reader is made of aluminium, which can be recycled in new products. Actually, aluminium is the only material that is endlessly recyclable, 100% recyclable. It is also what is not included in the Eco Reader what makes it more environmentally friendly. All components are RoHS, which implies that the product does not contain Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent chromium, PBB and PBDE. Get connected Our customer counting module, which allows you to locally check how many patrons have entered and left your library, is included as a standard. If you want to compare this data with the number of check-outs for example, you can also connect to our platform Librix Online. Since customer counting requires no external hardware anymore, you are connected within 5 minutes. The Librix Eco Reader is also always equipped with a relais, which can be connected to peripheral hardware such as tourniquets, sliding doors and CC-TV. To enable you to change settings regarding this relais or other parts of your reader, from the back of your seat you can access our Librix Eco Readers remotely over a webpage. On this webpage you can find all relevant configuration settings and change them at your will. Additionally, you can also remotely update and service the Eco readers. Quickly and easily. Extra performance 03 Different libraries require different solutions. By carefully re-engineering the printed-circuit board layout, we have managed to fit a wide range of functionality into one product. All you need in one small box. Libraries also differ in terms of the amount of Audio/Visual items they have in their collection. As Audio/Visual items need extra energy for reliable detection, some libraries have the need for security gates that can generate more power. The Eco-reader can deliver this extra power. Via a two-channel multiplexer that is built into every Eco-reader, one reader can do the job of two. This way, within the natural boundaries of RFID, you can create greater gate widths or increase detection levels, when and where you need it. Ask your local distributor for more information. Warranty As we produce and test all Librix Eco Readers ourselves, we are confident about the quality of the products we provide you with. Therefore, each Librix Eco Reader comes with a 3-year warranty on all components. Because we believe in what we do. PG 13.56 mhz security antenna Articles which contain a label with an activated anti-theft function will cause an alarm to sound if a borrower or visitor carrying the articles walks between the antennae. since the anti-theft function is deactivated when books are checked out in the correct manner these articles do not cause a false alarm. Antenna systems complete your library self-service system. With the anti-theft function the antennae ensure that no labeled item is stolen or registered as being available while it is lend out. Quality All our antennae are fully produced in-house and are checked to make sure performance is always top notch. Where necessary, our highly qualified installation teams can even adjust the antennae on-site to adjust for external disturbances in terms of metal or other electronic fields Wide entrances With our PG50 antennae, a gate opening can be as wide as 1.35 m! This enables you to open your library up to disabled people and will help you to be flexible in terms of accommodating goods in– and –out through your entrances. 04 The multi gate anti-theft (EAS) antenna systems consist of at least two antennae, installed to form a passageway. The use of a multiplexer instead of a splitter results in wider aisles (up to 1,60 - under perfect circumstances). The standard systems can be expanded to a maximum of eight antennae for use in wide entrances / exits. Systems with more than eight antennas are available on request. Visual Alarm Our gates can be equipped with an integrated visual alarm. When the alarm goes off, a red light that is built into each antenna will flash. Not only will this enable you to notify the hearing impaired of the alarm, but this will also create greater awareness with your staff and other visitors. Integrated customer counting The numbers tell the tale. With integrated customer counting and a direct link into Librix Online, you can get direct insight into how many visitors you have had in your library. Because of the fact that the customer counting units are only installed 93cm from the floor, children are also counted. Alarm monitoring When someone walks through the security antennas with a library item that is not checked out properly an alarm will sound. Now you know there is an item missing in your system, but it would of course be better to know which one. Nedap Librix therefore has built in the option for alarm monitoring. Through this feature you will be able to see in a database which library item has caused an alarm. This means you will be better informed on what happens in your library and what is the status of your library items. How much service do you provide? With our interactive tool Librix Online, you can even make a distinction between people that have entered your library and the number of unique members that actually have lent a book. As a result, this great tool provides you with a clear overview of how many people visit your library just to read a newspaper, do research or enjoy other services you provide. Because you want to get credit for what you do. Relay All antennae-readers are equipped with a relay which enables connection to external hardware, like lights, doors and/or gates. Be flexible Sometimes you need to be able to easily remove an antenna because of health and safety guidelines or logistics. Especially for these situations, we can provide you with an optional foot which allows you to connect and deconnect an antenna, just like you would remove a computer from a docking station.
