fixture’s/luminaire’s electrical system and the hazard involved. If not

expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
Risk of fire or electric shock. Install this kit only in the luminaires (light
fixtures) that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the
photographs and/or drawings included in these Installation Instructions.

Installation Instructions
Before installing the product or doing any maintenance, make sure to turn off the power supply.
This LED Recessed Light retrofit kit can fit one kind of lamp holder, type E26. Check the existing lamp base before
replacing it to ensure it is an E26 lamp base. If the existing lamp base is not E26, do not install this Recessed Light
retrofit kit. If a thermal protector is in place with the existing fixture, remove it. Check the recessed light fixture
(luminaire) rating to fit the appropriate Recessed Light Kit model number listed below.

1. Turn off the power supply. Once power has been turned off, remove the existing bulb and trim, revealing the
socket. Check the dimension of the recessed can to verify the Recessed Light retrofit kit can fit the existing
recessed light fixture (luminaire).
2. Screw the E26 adaptor clockwise into the lamp holder. Tighten.

3. Connect the male to the female connector.

4. Make sure the trim ring is flush with ceiling. Turn the power supply back on and then turn on the light to verify the
LED recessed light is working properly.

Troubleshooting Guide
Before doing any work on the fixture, disconnect power to the light fixture. Minor problems often can be fixed without
the help of an electrician.
Problem

The power is off.
Check to ensure the power supply is on.
The circuit breaker is off.
Check to ensure the circuit breaker is in the on
position.
There is a bad connection.
Check to ensure the male/female connectors
are securely connected.
There is a defective switch.
Contact a qualified electrician.
The wires are crossed or the
power wire is grounding out.
Check to ensure proper wire connections are
made. Contact a qualified electrician.
The fixture will not light.
The fuse blows or circuit breaker trips
when the light is turned on.

Warranty
The manufacturer, Elec-Tech International (HK) Co., Ltd., warrants this LED Lighting Product to be free from defects in
material or workmanship for 6 years from date of purchase, when used as directed. This warranty does not cover
accidents, abuse, acts of God, use in violation of law or electrical standards, or damage from primary side power
sources (e.g., short circuits/power surges). If Product has a defect in materials or workmanship and is returned to the
manufacturer along with proof of purchase and payment receipt, ETi Solid State Lighting Inc. will replace it with the
same or similar Product at no charge or, at its option, refund the original purchase price.
REPLACEMENT OR REFUND IS ETI SOLID STATE LIGHTING INC.’S SOLE WARRANTY OBLIGATION. INCIDENTAL AND
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARE EXCLUDED. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific
legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Outside the United States and Canada,
this warranty does not apply.
Keep this warranty, your sales receipt, and proof of purchase/bar code together for future reference. You must
provide proof of purchase for warranty assistance. If you reside in the United States or Canada and your Whirlpool™
LED Lighting product should fail within the first five years of ownership:
1. Call our Customer Service Center at 1-855-305-8974 (toll-free).
2. Give the consultant your complete model number, purchase date, and date of manufacture.
3. You will be responsible for shipping the Product to our return center along with the proof of purchase/bar code and
payment receipt. The LED Lighting product should be properly packaged to avoid damage during transit. We will not
be responsible for damage resulting from improper or inadequate packaging.
4. ETi Solid State Lighting Inc. will return an identical or comparable LED Lighting product to your door free of charge.
