• President’s Choice Children’s Charity is dedicated to helping children
who are physically or developmentally challenged.
• We provide direct financial assistance in the purchase of mobility
equipment, environmental modifications, physical therapy and more.
Jennifer Ashleigh Foundation

• The Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity assists children who are
seriously ill, have a permanent disability, are 21 years of age or under
and whose permanent residence is in Ontario.
• Family income impacts on assistance decisions.
• The Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity helps with:
o Respite
o Emergency financial relief
o Specially adapted computer equipment and software
o Educational programs, materials, instruction
o Recreation that promotes a child’s involvement in the community
Children First

• School Choice Trust is Canada's first privately funded program to help
families improve their educational choices.
• Children First offers tuition assistance grants, so that parents who
could not otherwise afford it can choose an independent elementary
school.
• Children First grants are worth 50% of tuition, up to an annual
maximum of $4,000.

Royal Canadian Legion

• Benevolent Funds provide financial assistance to ex-servicemen and
women in need and to their dependents.
• In accordance with the General By-laws of The Royal Canadian Legion,
the need may be for shelter, food, fuel, clothing, prescription medicine
or necessary transportation.
• Both the Provincial and Dominion Commands normally limit the
amount of financial assistance that they will approve at their
respective levels to $500.00 per request for Provincial Commands and
$1000.00 for Dominion Command.
Eligibility:
• Any ex-serviceman or woman or dependant in need of financial
assistance is eligible to apply.
• Applicants must undergo a financial means test and, if requested,
provide proof of debt and justification for any claimed monthly
expenses which are unusual or higher than average.
How to apply:
• Submit application for financial assistance to the local Branch level or
to a service related fund (CFPAF, RCNBF, etc.)
Rotary Club of Toronto Charitable Foundation

• Funds programs in the City of Toronto which benefit children and
youth in the areas of health, education, child abuse, and neglect,
social development and life enrichment.
• Also funds community programs for the homeless, disabled, and
seniors.
Lions Club

• Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) funding is provided in the
form of grants to Lions districts in support of Lions projects.
