Naval Academy
• April 12 – Ninth Grade Field Trip to the United States Naval Academy
• 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
• Collected April 4 – 7 in the FRONT LOBBY before school and in the
CAFETERIA at lunch. If you bring it on FRIDAY we will accept it
• $10.00 – includes transportation and lunch. You can bring an
additional lunch if you want
• Field Trip Scholarship available – see directions from English class
Service Learning Opportunity
Seeds of Grace is a community garden ministry that began in
2013 to help provide fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need in
Middle River, Maryland. We distributed 800 lbs. of produce last season
and hope to distribute over 1000 lbs. this season. We need your help!
Come and help us plant and harvest fruits and vegetables while
enjoying the outdoors and learning about gardening
• Volunteers can set their own hours. Generally we start at 9am and
finish by 3pm. Just email us at the address below to set your hours!

Splash! UMBC is just one chapter of the nonprofit organization Learning Unlimited. For a
one day event in the spring, we have our UMBC
students teach classes to 6-12th grade students
in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia. In the
past, we have had a wide variety of courses
taught by our undergrads, including interactive
chemistry demonstrations, an LBTQ 101, a book
publishing tutorial, and a course on healthy
living and sustainability. Splash! UMBC is
unique, cutting edge, and innovative. So, jump
in!
