• Current research literature can be found in articles / papers
• Published articles
– Articles from journals or collected editions (e.g. Handbook of Finance)
– Usually peer review process
– For some areas, journal rankings are very important (e.g. the VHB
JourQual ranking, SSCI)
 Where you can find published articles: literature databases
• Other („unpublished“) articles: working papers, discussion
papers
– Normally no peer review process
 Where you can find them: in working paper databases or on Google
Scholar

Suppose you need literature on the topic „Managing virtual work teams“ –
how do you begin your search in BSP?
BSP has many features – the most useful ones are:
• Filters (publication year, peer reviewed papers, …)
• Search within specific journals (e.g. the MIS quarterly)
• All publications of an author within BSP
• Export options for bibliographic data
• Citation information on articles
• Simultaneous search in all EBSCO databases (like EconLit, for
example)
