Speaking Life Into the City – June 23, 2015
Watchman
Lord, You have set watchmen for this territory, Chesapeake and Hampton Roads. They see like eagles and
see all that You want them to see. They speak what You ask them to speak and do what You ask them to
do.
Lord, Your words are coming to the prophets in Hampton Roads. The prophets are obedient and deliver the
words to the cities led by Your Holy Spirit with no personal filters and in a timely way to those You show
them. The leaders and people in the city heed Your servants the prophets. Our city is hearing Your voice
and obeying your words. (Daniel 9:6,10)
God’s Purpose for the City
Lord, You are shifting the atmosphere of the Hampton Roads area so that Your original purposes for the
land and the people will be carried out.
Breaking the Chains
Lord Almighty, You are breaking the power of the enemy in Chesapeake and Hampton Roads. You are
Jehovah Tsaba (tsaw-baw’), the Lord Our Warrior. You empower us to fight and win every single battle in
this fallen world because we are putting our trust in You. We are asking You to work through us to be
victorious in the battles we face.
Your troops are assembling and they are ready for battle. Your generals are in place and You are our
Commander-in-Chief. The army will rise up to break every chain in Chesapeake and Hampton Roads.

The entrances to the city are guarded by Your angels. You send Your protection daily. Protection over the
roads, the air, the land, the water. We are a protected city and region.
The power of the enemy is being destroyed in Hampton Roads. Almighty God, You are revealing the
strongholds of the enemy in this region and giving orders and strategy to tear down the strongholds.
We were designed by You, Father God, maker of Heaven and Earth, to face problems and solve them, not
just escape them, not to be afraid of them. We rejoice in each one instead of complaining and turning back.
We persevere to dig into the Word to solve problems, as if we are looking for gold, silver and jewels. We
have the mind of Christ, so we can see things from Your perspective and solutions others can’t see. We
have Your wisdom to embrace Your solutions, even if they seem painful and no one has ever walked that
way before. We are blessed because You are our God and You are the God of the impossible.
We will not be a prey for the nations, there will be no devouring. We shall dwell safely and no one shall
make us afraid. (Ezekiel 34:22,28)
Plans for Good
You have plans for us to prosper. Plans for good for our city and Hampton Roads (Jeremiah 29:11). Lord,
You are redeeming the land in Chesapeake and Hampton Roads for Your purposes.

Shift in the Atmosphere
The people of Hampton Roads are fasting and everyone is calling on You. They are giving up their evil
ways and their violence. Father God, You see what they have done and how they are turning from their evil
ways and You have chosen not to bring destruction upon them and the cities. Like Nineveh, Hampton
Roads will repent and turn from their evil ways. For even as Jonah became a sign unto the Ninevites, so
shall also the Son of man be to this generation. (Luke 11:30)
The people of Hampton Roads come to You and sit before You to hear Your words. They not only hear
them, but they put them into practice. Ezekiel 33:31
There is a shift in the leadership taking place in Chesapeake and Hampton Roads. There is a shift from
domination to dominion. A shift from pride to humility.
Our worship and praise is shifting the atmosphere for breakthrough.
The banner that flies over Chesapeake and all of Hampton Roads is “Jesus is Lord.”
Lord, You are stirring up Your intercessors to begin to pray for businesses, churches, the government and
people of Chesapeake and Hampton Roads. You are redeeming and restoring that which the enemy has
taken. The intercessors are spotting every move of the enemy and stopping him.
Church
Jesus Christ, You are Shepherd over the churches in Chesapeake and all of Hampton Roads. (Ezekiel
34:11). You are removing the irresponsible shepherds (Ezekiel 34:1-6). Lord, You are rescuing the flocks in
Chesapeake and Hampton Roads from being plundered.
With the greatest care and diligence, You, the True Shepherd, are gathering those who have wandered
back together, You are counting them, bringing them to the fold, observing what they have suffered, and, if
lame or torn, You are binding up and healing them, and providing safe pasture for them (Ezekiel 34:1116). Lord, you are assembling Your flock for Your purposes. You, Lord, are shepherding the flock in
Chesapeake and the region.
Revival is coming to the church. The revival in the church is causing an awakening in the city and
beyond. Lord, you are making the lukewarm, hot with passion for Your purposes.
Believers in Hampton Roads are walking with great purpose and vision and see above the circumstances
of life. They are fully persuaded of the final outcome. They are walking in complete victory and purpose
over every difficulty of life. They desire to hear the Word of the Lord in this season and quickly obey. As
they obey, they are positioning themselves for an acceleration of Your purposes so that Your name will be
glorified.
They are looking to Your strength to be their strength.
This generation of the residents of this region shall praise Your works to the next generation (Psalm 145:4).
Government
Thank You, Lord, that you are raising up wise men and women. Leaders like Joseph, Daniel and Deborah
with abilities to solve problems and bring Godly influences to our city and region.

Media & Entertainment
Media in our region would be life-giving and honoring. The sources of media would overcome the darkness
with light and hope. That media in the cities of Hampton Roads would stream media would display Godly
lifestyles, behaviors, and values. Ungodly arts and entertainment would not profitable in our region.
Resources
Lord, we thank You that You are convicting believers to eliminate their debt. You are giving us more
than enough so that we can be givers like You.
Family
Lord, we believe that You are bringing families into unity. You are restoring the family as You designed it to
be. Our families and homes are a beautiful reflection of Your love. We are life-giving to our family, friends
and visitors and they are life-giving to us.
Education
Education is the backbone of every life, providing the foundation on which dreams can be envisioned and
achieved. The parents, schools, and city are pouring into the lives of this generation and the next partnering
with God for their destines.
Business
Lord, You are moving companies from this area that do not align with what You want for the area. We
believe that You are drawing here companies that align with Your will. Companies would locate to Hampton
Roads to bless it and they, in return, would be blessed.
The branches of the trees will be heavy with fruit and the ground will yield an abundance of crops.
Chesapeake and Hampton Roads will be a land renowned for it’s crops.
Our eyes and hearts are set only on honest gain. (Jeremiah 22:17). Those who do business with the city
will be blessed. The leaders and employees of the city are known for their great service and integrity, and
love for You, Lord. They are known for their integrity, honesty and excellence.
Military
Thank you, Lord, that we are blessed to have the military located in our area. We are being blessed by
their presence and they are being blessed by being here.
Prisons and jails
Thank You, Lord, for Your peace that reigns in the prisons and jails in Hampton Roads. We believe that
You are raising up laborers for a great spiritual harvest in the institutions. We believe that You are opening
the doors to Christian, faith-based ministries to have access. We believe for revival.
Be blessed, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Hampton and Newport News. Be
blessed, Hampton Roads. God bless you.
