Responsible to: LCB Disability Cricket Officer, Lancashire Lions Visually Impaired Cricket Club (LLVICC)

Main Purpose of the Role:
The Main purpose of the role is to lead LLVICC training sessions in preparation for matches in the BCEW
National League and Regional League. This role will also include working on community outreach
programmes as requested.
Main Duties:







Lead on the planning, delivery and evaluation of squad coaching sessions (summer and winter),
summer sessions take place on Thursday evenings, winter sessions on Saturday afternoons.
Provide support to the club committee and work together to achieve agreed objectives
Provide individual and group support to players in order to assist their development as a player
Lead the squad in terms of Talent ID and assist club committee with team selection
Lead the squad during designated cricket camps and represent the club on community outreach
programmes
Liaise with the club committee, LCB, ECB and BCEW around the administration of the squad
Attendance at fixtures
Person Specification








ECB Coach (UKCC2) Coaching Qualification, or equivalent, as a minimum (E) ECB Club Coach (D)
Attended Safe Guarding & Protecting Children and Emergency First Aid Workshops in the last 3
years (E)
ECBCA Membership (E)
Experience of working with cricketers with Visual Impairment (D)
Experience of working with cricketers as part of a representative programme (D)
An ability to identify talent and create a talent pool capable of playing county cricket (D)
Experience of coaching and delivering cricket programmes including player development
programmes for cricketers in a range of settings (D)
Experience of providing key tactical information throughout competitive fixtures (D)
