message from the chairperson, unity club

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRPERSON, UNITY CLUB.
It is my pride and joy to welcome you all to tonight’s function, and to thank you warmly for graciously
accepting our invitation. This is the stuff of which unity of
purpose and peaceful co-existence, are made of.
UNITY CLUB’s mission is to hoist unity and peace as the basis for
sustainable development in Rwanda, and as leaders each in
his/her own right, the members’ sole responsibility is to be a
mirror-reflection to society that the attainment of unity and
peace inevitably leads to national development. It is the club’s
responsibility to hold up the candle of good leadership, but it is
also the God-given responsibility of every forward-looking citizen
of this beautiful nation and its beautiful people to do his/her part
for the good of all.
Rwanda is for you and for me: together, we must frown at what divides us and embrace what unites us
as one nation, one culture, one people. We must work together towards this common goal for the good
of our children and their children’ children ad infinitum. Done in the right spirit, this will be our legacy by
which we shall be fondly remembered for all posterity. It is with this in mind that Unity Club has opted
to honor for the second time, efforts directed towards the attainment of these two significant principals
of unity & peace through our Annual Unity Award ceremony. I sincerely wish to congratulate, in a very
special way, this year’s recipients of the UNITY AWARD 2011, whose efforts in fostering unity while
contributing to national development are being honored tonight. To the rest of you, allow the candle of
good leadership to light your way to Unity in dignity & peace! May God Bless You All.
It is an honor and indeed a privilege to welcome you all to tonight’s Unity Club gathering to honor
those who have distinguished themselves as leaders
