SALES TO FIRST TIME BUYERS
23 per cent of sales were made to
first time buyers in September
The number of sales made to FTBs decreased by five percentage points in September, from 28 per
cent in August. This is now the lowest level seen since November last year, when 21 per cent of sales
were made to the group.
While one in ten (12 per cent) estate agents think sales to FTBs has stalled post-Brexit, two fifths (41
per cent) haven’t seen a change to FTB activity since the referendum vote. Further, over half (52 per
cent) do not expect Brexit to influence the number of sales made to the group in the future.
