2 016 Enter the 2016 KickStart Breakfast Awards ENTRIES OPEN 7 JUNE 2016 ENTRIES CLOSE 1 JULY 2016 WINNERS ANNOUNCED TERM 3 Celebrate the people who make KickStart Breakfast Clubs happen Our KickStart Breakfast Clubs rely on the work of devoted and inspirational volunteer co-ordinators, student leaders and principals to make things happen. So now it’s time to celebrate their contribution with the KickStart Breakfast Awards. The awards recognise the true champions of KickStart Breakfast who deliver and maintain the values of the programme: Positivity Proactive Purposeful Three chances for your Breakfast Club to win: The Unsung Hero Award The KickStart Breakfast Win $3,000 for your KickStart Breakfast Club. Club Award This award recognises volunteers’ contribution to their KickStart Breakfast Club (so students are not eligible). It will be presented to a volunteer who ensures that their KickStart Breakfast Club is run to a high standard and its values are upheld and maintained throughout the year. The Student Champion Award Win a $3,000 Study Grant. This award acknowledges student champions who have shown an exceptional and outstanding commitment to their KickStart Breakfast Club. It recognises our KickStart leaders of tomorrow and promotes aspiring youth leadership. It will be presented to a student who strives to develop and improve their KickStart Breakfast Club, uses their initiative and inspires others as a positive role model. Win $5,000 for your KickStart Breakfast Club and school. This award recognises a KickStart Breakfast Club that excels in delivering a quality programme for their students, school and community. It will be presented to a Club that understands and lives the KickStart Breakfast values, helping more students to achieve their best by having a great kickstart to their day. The winning Club will have established an engaging environment that encourages students to develop strong social skills, take on extra responsibility and develop their wider learning potential. 2 016 HOW TO ENTER: Enter between 7 June and 1 July 2016 by post or online. Fill out the form in your entry pack, then post it back in the same envelope. I used half the prize money for my Breakfast Club to buy new equipment. The rest I used for school fees and stationery. – Nathan Wilkinson, 2014 Student Champion, Naenae College. We were over the moon with the $5,000 grant.
