• Has Ransomware or a hardware failure ever affected you personally
or through your company? Most of you will say - yes so you know
how critical your backup procedures should be.
• Use this opportunity at year end to verify and confirm that your
backups of your critical data are working.
• To do so you will want to check your logs, talk to your IT server
internal staff or support vendor to confirm that they are being
created as often as you feel is necessary (minimum of once per day
more often depending on your company requirements).
• Test your backups: In order to verify that your backups are working
you must perform a test restore of your critical files.
• To test a restore of your SAP database, you could obtain a copy of
the database off of one of your recent backups and restore the SAP
database to a new demo or test database.
