We are practicing our skills in the non-fiction area. 2.) Conference forms went home Monday! Please return them to me as soon as you can so I can accommodate everyone. Thank you! 3.) The students will be attending a music assembly on Wednesday, here at Stratford Road, with the district’s entire third grade population. They will be excited to come home and discuss with you what instruments they would like to play next year. This is a great time to discuss this wonderful opportunity. Forms to choose an instrument for 4th grade will go out next month. 4.) The next math test (Topic 14 – Area) is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, March 11th. No study materials will come home for this test. You can review notes, worksheets, the “R” side of the math homework sheets, and any textbook work (including the great review at the end of each chapter) with your student. Please also begin to encourage independent studying by giving your student a studying task (such as to study math vocabulary words on their own for 10 minutes) and quiz them after to monitor their progress. Gradually, and together, we will work towards helping your child become more responsible and independent. 5.) On March 11th there is a 9:30 am PTA meeting. 6.)
