Expressions of Interest 2015 Rookies &
2015 Champion of Club Champions State Finals
Expressions of Interest are invited to host the following 2015 Bowls NSW State Finals series.
(1) 2015 Rookies State Finals
Friday 16*, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2015
*evening training session
(2) 2015 Champion of Club Champions State Finals
Tuesday 24 to Friday 27 November 2015
The Expression of Interest should address the following;
 The ability of the club to host the event
 Green space
 Club indoor/outdoor facilities
 Catering capabilities
 Local Accommodation Capacities
 Volunteer Management
 Availability of local services (transport etc)
 Ability for club to promote event to local media and clubs in order to maximise local
publicity and interest.
 Hosting Fee of $2500 + GST. (Rookies only)
As part of the hosting agreement Clubs agree to provide
 Green Space
 Markers and Umpires as Required
 Light lunch for Players and Bowls NSW Officials
 Statement that the club has appropriate public liability and indemnity insurance
Distribution: Board, Committee Chairmen, Staff
Event Details
(1) 2015 Rookies State Finals
Friday 16*, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2015
On Friday 16 October a Purposeful Practice / Training Session will be undertaken for players involved
in the finals series. It is expected that players will be involved for approximately 1 hour from 5.00pm
until 6.00pm.
On Saturday 17 October, 32 players will be involved in the pairs competition.
On Sunday 18 October, 16 players will be involved in the singles competition.
In each event players play three sectional matches (2 before and 1 after lunch), followed by semi
finals and final (pairs 12 ends, singles 17 up)
Hosting fee for Rookies $2500 +GST
Host Club provides lunch for players involved on each day, plus Bowls NSW Officials (expected 4
officials)
(2) 2015 Champion of Club Champions State Finals
Tuesday 24 to Friday 27 November 2015
The Champion of Champions involves is played as a knockout event.
Tuesday 24 November (am) 16 players, then (pm) 8 players
Wednesday 25 November (am) 4 players, then (pm) 2 players
Thursday 26 November (am) 32 players, then (pm) 16 players
Friday 27 November (am) 8 players, then (pm) 4 players
Host Club provides lunches for players involved in morning (am) matches on each day, plus Bowls
NSW Officials. (expected up to a maximum of 8 officials - including State Selection Committee)
NO Hosting fee for Champion of Club Champions.
Submission of Expression of Interest
Expressions of Interest should be submitted no later than 4.00pm on Friday 28 March 2015.
