RM Easimaths integration into RM Unify document Integrating RM Easimaths into RM Unify. What you need before you start Your RM Easimaths administrator account Your RM Unify administrator account A list of pupils and RM Unify usernames in order to identify users if there is a name clash or matching issue. RM Unify users can be seen from the Users page in the Management Console If your RM Unify users have been provisioned from Active Directory (AD), then ensuring that those usernames match that of your RM Easimaths accounts will ensure the most successful matching. How long? This will depend on how well your data matches. We suggest that you set aside 2 hours in a quiet room with no distractions. The process 1. Login to RM Easimaths as an administrator 2. Go to the School setup page and click the ‘Change school details’ button. 3. In the RM Unify section: a. Download the CSV file of your school’s users for RM Unify User account matching b. Copy the Establishment key, or write it down, for use later in the process 4. Select the option to ‘Add a free RM Unify connector for RM Easimaths’. 9. In the next screen, enter the Establishment Key you noted down from RM Easimaths and click Next: Version 1.2 Page 3 of 7 20/5/2014 RM Easimaths integration into RM Unify document 10. Accept the privacy agreement by checking the box and from the ‘Select licence’ drop down, choose the ‘RM Easimaths/SSO Connector’ for £0.00. Then click Add Licence. 11. Choose ‘Yes, match and link users in my RM Unify establishment to existing accounts in RM Easimaths’ and click Next Version 1.2 Page 4 of 7 20/5/2014 RM Easimaths integration into RM Unify document 12. Now upload the CSV you downloaded from RM Easimaths: 13. Review the matching screens. RM Unify will try to make appropriate matches by comparing the first name, last name and username of the user. For any RM Unify Users who have not been matched you can either, accept that a new RM Easimaths account will be created, or, you can manually match the user. Manual matches are made by updating the User ID in the matching screen using the long ID found for the user in the RM Easimaths CSV file (from step 3.a). 14. We recommend saving each page by clicking the Save button before progressing to the next. 15. Once you have checked the initial pages click >> to see more pages. 16. Click Finish once all the user matches have been reviewed and are accepted. Version 1.2 Page 5 of 7 20/5/2014 RM Easimaths integration into RM Unify document 17. The next screen shown will contain those users who exist in RM Easimaths, but who have not been matched to any user in RM Unify. At this point you have 2 options. 1. To accept that that these users will have to login to RM Easimaths directly using their RM Easimaths account name and password. 2. Create an account in RM Unify, using the same first name, last name and username as the RM Easimaths account. Once an account has been created the matching process should auto-match to the RM Easimaths account and you can proceed again from step 16. 18. Lastly, select which roles’ Launch Pads the app should be installed to Version 1.2 Page 6 of 7 20/5/2014 RM Easimaths integration into RM Unify document 19. After clicking Save the accounts will be updated and provisioned in the RM Unify database. We would advise waiting a couple of hours before users start using the RM Easimaths app\tile in RM Unify.
