We don’t think that you would blame us if we assume that you
will agree that WhatsApp is a very novel platform.
.
But did you know that you can also get help with your Maths
homework on WhatsApp? Even more than that – you can get video-memorandums
of your own unique questions on your cellphone! (maybe even on Blackberry)
How does it work?
You take a photo of the question with your cellphone, and share it on the group that you
belong to, and then the MATHmechanic will answer that question for you with a videoexplanation...as easy and simple as that!!
This platform on WhatsApp is called BackChat, because we want you and the other
members of the group to engage in discussions about the questions and answers. To
belong to BackChat is free.
If, however, you want to receive the video-explanations, you can exercise one of two
options:
1) If you only want access to the database of questions that have
already been asked (and will still be asked in the future) it
will cost R25 per month.
2) If you also want to ask your own questions, you need to
join the etutor-facility, so that you can upload a photo of
your questions, and receive a video-memorandum for it.
This costs R50 per month
We also offer an option whereby you can write online tests with us,
which is ideal for test and exam preparation, but also to test whether
you are up to date with everything you need to know about a section
of the work. You also get video-memorandums of all the questions, so
that you can see what you may have gotten wrong in the test. This
facility is known as TestMe, and costs R40 per week.
If you want to view the video on your Android cellphone or tablet you will have
to make use of the MATHmechanic App (get it from the Playstore – search
for “math mechanic”), and this will cost you R15 per month, which you can
pay for with a SMS.
If you are interested in any of these options, ask your parents to send us a SMS to
078 294 1294 with the words “SAMI and your Name & Surname” and then we will call
them, and explain everything, as well as how to get started.
