Also helped by, Glenn Sargent, Awhina Murray, Trent, Cam, Clarke, Baylee, Woody

1st XV : The 1stXV played Rosehill on Saturday with a depleted side due to injuries.
Boys from the 2ndXV stepped up to help out.
The end score was 7 – 12 to Rosehill. Te Awamutu were the dominant side in the
second half with 3 tries lined up only to have errors made or incorrect decisions
made right at the last moment denying us the points.
Tony Curtis had another very strong game. Clarke Towers showed his skills and
good decision making, and Shauncy Waho burned up the paddock again with some
awesome runs. Just a shame we couldn’t finish off the game with the points to
secure a win.
This coming week sees us play Rosehill again up there.. You can win this boys!!!
2nd XV : Was a really great game. The forwards scrums and line outs were
awesome and the backs tried most of the moves they had learnt unfortunately the
opposition just had to much speed and caught us on our break outs but I think it
was the best game of the season.
U15: We travelled to HBHS to play, the fields where very muddy.
We score first with blind side flanker Jackson Tims barging over.
Then good backline movement and winger Trae Iasona scoring in the corner.
Excellent try line defense kept us in front 10-7 at halftime. The second half was
another close battle with another try to Trae Iasona and a great long range try to
centre Jakob Kingi using his speed.
Final score 20-14. Good games had from TeKapa Crown at fullback returning from
a long injury break, hooker Jack Gibson and lock Liam Beard, well done lads.
U14 : We traveled down to Tokoroa to play Forest View on Saturday. The game
started well for us as we scored first to lead 5-0, Forest View hit back and took a
12-5 lead into half time. They extended their lead early in the second half before
we scored to get within a try. Unfortunately due to clearing the reserves bench for
injuries and no fit bodies left we had to finish out with 14 players and that gave
then the chance to close the match out 22-10.
U55kg : TA College Under 55s played well again in patches. We knew coming into
the game that a newly demoted HBHS team would have learnt from their time in A
Division. They did not disappoint. It would come down to in the end who wanted it
more and who would use their possession more wisely.
TA dominated a lot of the breakdown and swamped HBHS in the forwards.
There were some great attack by the backs but the final pass just went astray. The
boys are building well and will learn from this experience with 2 more crucial
games left in round Robin play.

Girls 1st XV: Wednesday night saw our girls up against a very good Hamilton Girls
High team. We started well but a few silly mistakes saw us give up two quick tries
in the first halve, but after that hiccup our girls ground out some very gutsy
defence to hold the defending champs to a 10-0 half time score.
We started the second half better and went on the attack, which finally paid off
with a try to Mackenzie, which was converted by Allyn bringing the score to 10-7,
with some fantastic defence we managed to keep this score up till about 10 to go
when HGHS’s attack finally managed to break through to score and followed very
quickly with another 2 tries to bring the final score to 29 -7, this was our first home
loss in two seasons.
Our inside backs Arnica, Alesiha and Leah had a great game shutting down a very
good HGHS backline, with Leah coming in from the wing to play her first ever game
at centre, and our gutsy little fall back Ingrid had a great game. The forwards
battled hard all night and played fantastic against a very skilled opposition. The
girls have 2 more games for the season.
