Things we do to help maintain our environment
The team at Parkfoot is working to create an eco- friendly park. We
are very fortunate to enjoy a unique natural environment and it is our
aim to conserve it as much as possible for future generations by

Compliance with environmental directives – working with Green Tourism
Business Scheme and the David Bellamy Conservation Award advisers we
strive for continuing improvement in our environmental performance.
2.
Effective decision-making – Operational and investment decisions are made
with our environmental policy in mind. We review the environmental impact of
our activities and endeavour to reduce the business’s overall impact and
prevent pollution.
3.
Encouragement of others – We attempt to communicate our green and
environmental aspirations to our customers and suppliers.
4.
Energy efficiency – we aim for efficiency in all the electrical appliances
purchased and have solar PV panels. Our building is well insulated.
5.
Waste minimalisation – Applying the mantra ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ across
all our activities (including office equipment, stationery etc) and through
encouragement of our customers.
6.
Being water wise - Purchase of laundry equipment with low consumption and
rain water harvesting to give water efficiency.
7.
Respecting nature - Our landscaped grounds, woodland and meadow are
managed to attract and support wildlife. Native species of trees and flowers are
planted.

is
provided
to
our
guests.
8.
Reduction of light pollution - All on site lighting is low level allowing and this
encourages stargazing.
9.
Supporting local businesses – We promote and support local businesses
both for our own requirements and also through advertising to our customers.
10.
Transport minimalisation – We encourage employees to cycle or walk
whenever possible. Our location is such that use of public transport is often not
possible but we consider this option whenever possible and encourage our
customers to do likewise.
