Dear Parents and Guardians,
<Name of your school> will be taking part in this year’s Jeans Day on Thursday, May 4.
New this year, students will receive a fundraising envelope filled with buttons ($5) and pins ($20)
to sell to friends and family in support of BC Children’s Hospital. Jeans Day supporters from the
Canucks, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, BC Lions, and Odlum Brown have created exciting prizes for
students including game day experiences with the players and much more. The incentive
structure can be seen on the fundraising envelope, along with a social media contest to be
entered to win more prizes on Jeans Day – Thursday, May 4, 2017.
Key dates for the student fundraising program:


Fundraising period – March 13 to April 30
Jeans Day – Thursday, May 4

One in every 20 children will visit Children’s Hospital this year — that’s about one student in every
class. By buying a button or pin, we will help change the lives of these children so they can shine.
