Getting started with PADI Open Water Diver

Welcome to the PADI Open Water Diver Touch Course. The following are some tips to assist you.
1. Purchase your PADI Open Water Touch Code at Adventure Scuba or online at
www.divemontana.com. Your Access code will arrive via email.
2. Redeem your code- Click on the REDEEM button and you will be taken to the PADI
Certification Paks site. Set up an PADI account using the email address that you received your
code with. Your account is where you will find you course materials for this course.

3. Choose the device you want to use to complete the course. The PADI Open Water Touch course
materials can be completed on a Tablet, iPad, PC or Mac.

Tablet & iPads- program is downloaded to the device and the student can work off-line, but
will need to connect online to complete the required knowledge reviews, quizzes and final
exam.
PC or Mac- program is completed entirely online.
Tablet or iPad: Downloading the PADI Open Water Diver Touch
Now that you’ve created your PADI account, it's time to download the
PADI Open Water Diver Touch.
1. Download the PADI Library App from either the App Store or
the Google Play Store.
2. Launch the PADI Library App and sign in with the email address
and password to set up your account.
3. Tap the PADI Open Water Diver Touch icon to download the
product to your mobile device or tablet. Note: Download times may vary so be sure you have a
stable Internet connection before initiating download.
4. Once the file is downloaded to your device, launch the PADI Open Water Diver Touch product.

Log into the Certification Paks Portal. (padi.com/Log in/ Certification Paks)
Under the “Open Water Diver Touch” section, click on “Open Water Diver Touch -for
computers”
This will launch the online version of the course.
Knowledge Reviews, Quizzes and Final Exam
During your course, you will see buttons to “TAKE THE KNOWLEDGE REVIEW” , “Take the Quiz”
and “TAKE the EXAM”. There are 5 Knowledge Reviews, 4 Quizzes and a final exam. You will get
a screen to confirm your user name and if not already online, a login screen. You will need to have
an internet connection if taking the course on a tablet or iPad.
When you have successfully completed a Knowledge Review, Quiz or exam, you will receive a
confirmation email from [email protected] to verify the receipt of your scores. You can also
verify that your scores register by login into the PADI eLearning Portal.

Your user name is your email and the password that you set up for the Certification Pak login.
Tap on the “VIEW eRecord” link to open your eRecord. Your scores for each section completed
should appear here.
When you completed the Final exam, this is also where you go to print off your eRecord to
bring to class. Verify that ALL Knowledge Reviews, Quizzes and the Final have scores
recorded.
IF YOUR SCORES DID NOT REGISTER, YOU MUST GO BACK AND RE-TAKE THE
KNOWLEDGE REVIEW OR QUIZ. ALL SECTIONS MUST HAVE RECORDED SCORES TO BE
ABLE TO PROCEED TO THE NEXT PHASE OF YOU SCUBA TRAINING!
