Autumn begins on the 23rd of September, which is the
autumn Equinox and ends on the 21st of December, the
shortest day of the year. Autumn is the time when plants
and animals get ready for the coming winter: birds f ly
away, some species of mammals fall asleep, other collect
food supplies. Leaves turn into red, yellow or brown and
later fall down. The weather may be really unpleasant:
it’s chilly, windy, foggy with rain or drizzle.
