were awarded Sunday in the finals of the Kromer Flight Mixed
Doubles tournament at Sanborn
Park.
The Palazzolos, Frank and
Samantha, claimed the Adult
Championship Flight, defeating
Greg Gale and Julie Rock 7-6,
6-4 in the final.
They had defeated the Port
Huron High coach-and-pupil

semifinal. Gale and Rock had
defeated Terry Curley and Amy
Stablein 7-6 (5), 7-5 in a tight
semifinal.
Andrew Davies and Maggie
Bacheller won the Junior Championship Flight, taking a threeset match from Abhishek Tekumulla and Claire Brooks, 7-6,
2-6, 6-2.
Davies and Bacheller won
6-2, 6-2 in their semifinal match
against Troy Distelrath and Ally
Kennedy.
Tekumulla

Brooks defeated Nishaan Makim and Sydney Sepsey 6-4, 6-3
in their semifinal match.
Up next is the Kromer Flight
Doubles tournament, which begins Wednesday at Sanborn
Park, and finishes Sunday.
It’s the final Kromer tournament before the Francis J. Robinson Memorial International
Tennis Tournament, which will
be played Aug. 5-10.
