Sheet Try This! No. 25 Blinking Buttons! Look at the two screen shots below. I have positioned my links along the top of my page on a blue rectangle. They are just text objects with the 'Advanced Text' box ticked. I chose the font Forte and coloured the text yellow. Because I ticked 'Advanced Text' I was able to apply a shadow effect to the text. I also added a mouseover, the effect of which can be seen in the second screen shot. In the mouseover the text and shadow swap colours! The text turns red and the shadow turns yellow. It is a nice alternative to your links being a number of buttons lined-up down the left-hand side of your web page. Not showing mouseover. Showing mouseover. HINT Creating and placing your link objects on a colour strip across the top of your web page frees up a lot of page space for information or photographs.
