Timbers Wolf Pact We will be respectful. We will be responsible. We will be safe. Proof of Residence ALL students (returning and new) must provide proof of residence. Please send one copy of either: ~gas bill ~electric bill ~water bill All About Arrival Breakfast: Report to the cafeteria beginning at Other students will report directly to the third grade hallway Tardy after ~Please be on time! After parents must sign students in at the office All About Arrival Parents may walk their child to the classroom on the first day only. Dismissal Please specify how your child goes home before you leave! A parent note is required if your child will be going home a different way than what is listed on the dismissal form. If an emergency arises, you must call the office before 2:45. No changes may be made after that time. Snack Attack Examples of some healthy snacks include but are not limited to: -goldfish, pretzels, dry cereal, cut up fruit/ vegetables, granola bars, crackers, etc. -A water bottle is fine; no other beverages. It is best to keep informed! Sign up for Remind 101 Remind 101 is a one way text messaging system. All personal information remains completely confidential. Teachers can text you important information, but you will never see their phone number and they will not see yours. Wonderful Words Their Way Students will be placed in leveled groups. Each group will have their own set of words for the week. The weekly spelling homework format will be posted in their spelling notebook. Math as Easy as 1, 2, 3 Humble ISD supports Balanced Math. The third grade team will host a parent session to share our experiences and insight. Hit a Home Run with Homework! Homework is assigned Monday-Thursday. This typically includes: -Reading for 15 minutes (record in planner) -Math -Spelling Don’t Strike Out Missing homework results in missing recess. Any remaining incomplete homework may be added to the next night’s homework. Tuesday Folders Tuesday folders go home each week, containing a conduct sheet, graded assignments and important school info. Please review, sign, and return on Wednesday. Positive Behavior Our school and the third grade team has developed a system of rewards to encourage positive behaviors: Classroom Rewards Hallway tickets that reinforce school expectations Individual student rewards through signature cards ~Students can shop at the signature store!~ No Tardy Parties Cafeteria Rewards for “Staying on Green”! Detention Details Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 You will be notified prior to the date Parents are responsible for transportation On the 2nd detention is an office referral.
