May 22, 2012 Kiwanis Club of Marble Falls Members enjoyed the lunch served by the River City Grille. The Club recognized the EMS members of the Marble Falls EMS for National EMS Week. The crew was present at the beginning of the meeting, they had a moment to eat a bite. Then ending up making a run during the meal which is typical of the EMS duty. Paul Brady, owner of River City Grille, donated (4)- $25 gift certificates ($100) to the EMS Members present at today’s meeting. Please be sure and Thank Paul personally for his contribution in helping make the recognition possible. At the meeting we discussed the AutoPulse Equipment needed in the Highland Lakes Area for cardiac arrest events. This equipment would assist the EMS members by freeing up needed manpower. This equipment provides a mechanical advantage to CPR to maintain proper compression and blood flow to the brain, which reduces the neurological deficits often seen in the post cardiac victim. This equipment would take the cardiac care in our area into the 21st century by providing the best possible care to the citizens of the community. The Club received a $370 check from the PEC Employees for our work in the community the funds will be used to support the Key Club.
