When It Comes to Helping Flood Victims... We All Must Play Our Part

When It Comes to Helping
Flood Victims...
We All Must
Play Our Part
The recent flooding that swept through northeastern and northcentral Pennsylvania left thousands of
residents lacking shelter, food, clothing and more. And though the waters have now receded, too many
friends and neighbors are left to cope with destroyed homes, businesses and lives.
Stepping Up to Make a Difference
We salute the many organizations that responded so quickly in the face of this crisis to help address the
overwhelming needs of our flooded communities.
Today, so many flood victims are still in desperate need of aid. That’s why we put together a list of charities and
organizations that are helping victims rebuild their lives and prepare for the coming winter. Won’t you please
lend your support to:
American Red Cross of Susquehanna & Wyoming Counties

United Way of Susquehanna County

As soon as the floodwaters began to
rise, local individuals and companies
took swift steps to help by volunteering
and providing essential resources. Cabot
was pleased to aid those assisting the
growing number of flood victims with
manpower, equipment and donations
totalling $100,000.
“Cabot’s donation has already been put
to good use, providing food, shelter and
health services to flood victims.”
Stephen McHenry, Executive Director
American Red Cross: Susquehanna &
Wyoming Counties
“Donations from Cabot helped us
provide victims with new clothing, beds,
laundry and kitchen appliances...even
badly needed dehumidifiers.”
Rachel Pratt, Director
Susquehanna County Interfaith
“There was a thick mud left all over the
roads from the flooding. We couldn’t
get through. Cabot contractors and their
water trucks were invaluable in helping us
wash it away. They supplied over 140,000
gallons of water for cleanup.”
Dave Derrick, Fire Chief
Great Bend Fire Department
