Regional Leagues Every team will be part of one regional division of 7 or 8 teams. The teams will all play one another 3 times. 3 points are awarded for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss. Should teams be tied on points at the end of the season, we will first revert to frame difference and then the head to head record. Should it still be a stalemate, then an end of season 5 frame play-off match will be required. Individual & Team Trophies are awarded for 1st and 2nd place. 1st & 2nd place will also qualify for the end of season Super Cup. Regional “Team of The Season” At the end of the season, each team captain will be asked to cast a vote for the team in their regional league that they most enjoyed playing against. The team with the most votes will be deemed team of the season. Team Trophy awarded to team of the season. KO Cup Every team will enter into the KO Cup. Round 1 will be contested by the 32 Non Champions League Teams. The 16 Winners will progress and the 16 Losers will go into the KO Plate (below). Round 2 will see the winners from Round 1 play to establish which 10 teams will join the 6 Champions League Teams in Round 3. Draws will be made randomly to determine who plays who in each round. Individual & Team Trophies awarded to Winners & Runners Up. KO Plate The 16 Teams who lost in Round 1 of the KO Cup will play in the KO Plate. Each round will be drawn randomly. Individual & Team Trophies awarded to Winners & Runners Up Champions League The Champions League will be contested by the 6 Highest Ranked Teams from Last season (James’ Cats, 147 Misfits, Enderby DSC, Cue Crew, Arena & Lutterworth Club). All teams will play one another twice, but it will run on just 3 nights and all matches will be played at Club 147. Match format will be reduced to 4 singles & 2 doubles as 3 or 4 matches will be played on each night. Due to the number of matches required a 30 second shot clock will be in play and if required a match may be played over multiple tables. Individual & Team Trophies awarded for 1st and 2nd place (3rd place also receives a team trophy). The Winner will also have the option to represent LDPL in the EPA Champion of Champions Team Event. Super Cup The Super Cup is the end of season shoot-out between the best teams from each region. Each Regional Winner will progress straight through to the Quarter Finals. The 4 of the Regional Runners Up will play in the Prelim Round to determine who joins the Region Winners in the Quarter Finals. Individual & Team Trophies awarded for Winners & Runners Up. The Winner will also have the option to represent LDPL in the EPA Champion of Champions Team Event. Player Rankings Each player will receive ranking points for singles frames they played in and their Win / Loss Ratio over the season. The Top 16 players at the end of the season will be invited to a play off. Only regional league matches will count for player stats and late / missing cards will not be taken into account, so make sure your scorecards are WhatsApp’d / delivered to Club 147. Top League Player Average will receive a Trophy. Winner and Runner Up of the Top 16 Play Off will also receive trophies. Winner of the Top 16 Play Off will also be eligible to represent LDPL in the Champion of Champions Mens Singles Event. Individual Competitions Aside from the team events, LDPL will run Singles, Doubles, Ladies, Over 45s and Under 25s events. These events will run on various Wednesday evenings over the season (see entry forms) and be optional entry with a small entry fee. Individual Trophies awarded to Winners & Runners Up in all 5 competitions. Mens / Ladies winners will also be eligible to represent LDPL in the EPA Champion of Champions Mens / Ladies Event.
