Don’t use right justification. Ragged edges are best. Font size is important. It helps determine how many words are on each page. Be consistent. Always do the exact same thing each time. Decide if tables should be numbered in roman or arabic numerals. Information Remember that the final proof is the writer’s responsibility. The formatist is neither an editor nor a proof reader. Don’t type the table of contents or the list of tables. It is better to let the typist do this so that the contents match the text exactly.
