Significant contributions in 1. Application of 0.1% of thiourea to avoid draught due to poor

2. Bio-fertilizer (Azospillium+PSB) along with FYM @ 2.5 t/ha
improve pearl millet yield as well as supply Nitrogen and
phosphorus and other nutrients to pearl millet crop.
3. Application of irrigation at tillering and flag leaf stage resulted
into maximum yield as well as higher WUE in barley crop in
sandy loam soil of central plain zone of U.P.
4. When single irrigation is applied to the barley crop it gives
better response at flag leaf stage rather than tillering stage.
5. Butachlor (1.5 kg/ha) as pre-emergence within 2-3 days after
sowing in moist soil followed by one hand weeding at 25 days
after sowing. Pendimethalin (1.0 kg/ha) as pre-emergence
within 2-3 days after sowing in moist soil followed by Almix
(4.0 g/ha) at 25 days after sowing.
