UON STUDENT LIVING How to accept your Accommodation Offer CONGRATULATIONS! We look forward to welcoming you to our campus. We’ve created this checklist to assist you to accept your accommodation offer, but if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Student Living office on 02 4913 8888 or email us at [email protected] Before you start, you will need... LOGIN ID AND PASSWORD VISA OR MASTERCARD FUNDS TO COVER YOUR ROOM DEPOSIT, ROOM FEE AND ACCEPTANCE FEE NEW RESIDENTS CHECKLIST Accept or decline your offer before the date provided in your Official Offer email. Go to newcastle.edu.au/accommodationportal Do this by clicking on the Student Living Portal link in the official offer email. Log into the Student Living Portal Use your Login ID and Password as provided in your Official Offer email. Click on “Accept your offer” (purple button) Click on the New or Returner Semester 2 applicant term with the status of “Place Offered”. Click Save and Continue. Accept or Decline the Offer of Accommodation 1. Check the details of your offer (Room Type, Location, Room Fee and contract Commencement and Expiry dates). 2. Either Accept or Decline your offer by selecting the appropriate response in the Offer Reply box (located at the bottom of the page) and click Reply at the bottom of the page. 3. If you accept your offer you will continue to the Terms and Conditions to finalise your acceptance, then move through the payment process and e-induction. If you decline your offer the acceptance process will be terminated and your room will be released to another applicant. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions 1. Please read and review the 2017 Student Occupancy Licence Agreement which includes a) the Terms and Conditions, b) the Information Table and c) the Schedule of Charges. 2. To agree to the Student Occupancy Licence Agreement, tick the “Agree” box at the bottom of the page. If you do not agree to these terms, do not click the “Agree” box and do not proceed with accepting your accommodation offer. 3. Once you select your response to the Terms and Conditions, click Save and Continue to continue through the process. Pay your Room Deposit (Your Room deposit is equal to 4 (four) weeks of the Room Fee) 1. Check the amount in the box and click Save and Continue. 2. You are now at the BPOINT - Commonwealth Bank payment gateway. Select the credit card logo that matches your card type (Mastercard or Visa) and enter credit card details when prompted. 3. Click Pay Now. 4. After payment you will be able to see a receipt outlining the details of the successful payment, click Save and Continue. 5. A receipt will also be emailed to you. Pay your Room Fee in advance (Room Fee in advance is equal to 2 (two) weeks of the Room Fees) Check the amount and click Add to Cart (Note: Only add to cart if you are going to make a payment, as once you proceed you will not be able to return to this page). Pay your Community Levy 1. Click Add to Cart to add the Community Levy Fee. Once the Community Levy Fee is added to your cart it will appear as “Sold Out”. 2. After adding to cart, click Save and Continue (Note: Only add to cart if you are going to make a payment as once you proceed you will not be able to return to this page). Complete the Payments 1. Click Make Payment on the Make Payment page. 2. Click Pay Now on the Check Out page. 3. You will be transferred to an external site called BPOINT - Commonwealth Bank payment gateway. 4. Select the credit card logo that matches your card type (Mastercard or Visa) and enter credit card details when prompted. 5. After payment you will receive a receipt outlining details of the successful payment. 6. Once the payment has been successfully paid you will continue onto the E-Induction Module. 7. If both the Room Fee in advance and Community Levy do not appear in your Shopping Cart please contact Student Living before continuing, both fees must be paid. E-Induction 1. For the E-Induction simply read the information on each page, answer the questions and click Save and Continue 2. Dont forget! When your e-induction is complete please click on Send to UON Student Living to submit your details for final processing. 3. Your current Application Status should appear as “Acceptance Complete”, if it does not, please contact the office regarding your acceptance on 4913 8888. Register for Direct Debit Click on the tab BPOINT Direct Debit Setup in the grey navigation bar at the top of the home screen. Click Save and Continue, then on the next page click Continue to be taken the secure page. Follow instructions on the portal Please DO NOT refresh your browser during this process CELEBRATE – YOU HAVE NOW SECURED YOUR ACCOMMODATION FOR 2017!
