A special integral
seat lip provides
positive low presLow Pressure Sealing
High Pressure Sealing
sure “bubble-tight”
sealing between the ball and seat with minimal operating
torque. The KF seat lip defects slightly at higher pressures to
ensure full seat contact with the ball. The seat’s “memoryaction” provides “bubble-tight” sealing at both low and high
pressures. This “self compensation for swell” feature results
in low torque and long life operation.

Method of Calculating Flow
The Flow Coefficient “Cv” of a valve is the flow rate of water (gallons/minute) through a fully opened valve, with a pressure drop of 1 psi
across the valve. To find the flow of liquid through valve from the Cv, use the following formulas:
