Tax system of Georgia
Article 12. An explanation of the terms used.
1. The person - the physical person or the legal body according to the Civil code of Georgia, the
enterprise or the organization according to the Tax code of Georgia.
2. Identification number of the tax bearer - number appropriated by tax department to the tax bearer
according to article 101 of the present Code.

6. The resident - the physical person-resident or the legal person-resident (the enterprise of Georgia or
the organization of Georgia).
7. The non-resident - the person who is not the resident.
8. A family - in common living spouses, parents, children (stepsons, stepdaughters), sisters, brothers,
the grandfather and the grandmother conducting the general economy.
9. The partner - the partner, the shareholder, a member of cooperative society according to the Law of
Georgia "About businessmen".
10. The issue capital - a difference between the sums received or subject to reception from primary
placing of actions by the enterprise and a total face-value of these actions, and also excess of cost of a
non-monetary payment over the stipulated sum at establishment of an enterprise society according to
point 3.3. Articles 3 of the Law of Georgia "About businessmen".
11. Dividends - a profit part, by results of a business year (economic years), distributed by the legal
body between partners and also the incomes received by distribution of property at liquidation of the
legal person or sale of actions (according to article 531 of the Law of Georgia "About businessmen"),
except the property making уставный and the issue capital, or () before carried out by the partner in
the form of a payment.
