Please make sure your child has their P.E. kit in school
every day.
Curriculum Information
A named water bottle is also important in order to
keep your child hydrated.
English— We will be looking at poetry; Kennings, Haiku and Cinquains. We will also be reading David
Walliams ‘The Boy in the Dress’ which will lead to us writing discursive arguments and diary entries.
Maths –We will be looking at measures, fractions and written methods for short division and multiplication. Where appropriate we will be putting mathematics into every day contexts such as fencing for
a garden when we work on perimeters. Finally, we will look at the conversion of units of measure.
Science
In science our topic is called Animals including Humans. We will learn what all animals need in order to
live and grow. We will also learn how animals feed, looking at food chains and we will look at life cycles.
IPC
Our topic is called ‘Express yourself’ - we intend to draw on the children’s experiences at Kidzania as
well as looking at how humans express emotions and feelings through art, music and the work they
do.

Practise spellings and Times Tables
Homework will be given out on a Thursday and be
collected in on the following Tuesday.
