Free Lacrosse Clinic!!

What a beautiful day!! Welcome to Viking Lacrosse News #2. Your Northwest
Guilford Viking played in the King of Spring Lacrosse Tournament yesterday versus
Coppell, Texas. Our first game was our third time on the full field and our boys
competed extremely well for three quarters of the game. Unfortunately, we ended up
on the short end of a 7-4 final score. Senior Brian Miller opened up the scoring with a
cannon from about 15 yards on an assist from freshman Sean Goldsmith. Goldsmith
would then score a goal on an assist from Miller. The third goal was scored by
freshman Parker Byrd on Goldsmith’s second assist. The Viking’s final goal was
scored by Goldsmith early in the fourth period. The Vikings would like to thank
everyone who made the trip out to Raleigh to watch this exciting game. We would like
to invite all of you out to our home games starting this Tuesday. Please see the
schedule below for our schedule through the end of March.

Don’t forget that our Viking Lacrosse Coaches will be
conducting a FREE clinic for all youth lacrosse players in the
Triad area next Sunday March 15th from 1:00PM to 4:30PM.
Former Oak Ridge and TYLA players currently playing in
college will be back to coach in the clinic. Please take
advantage of their knowledge and enthusiasm for our great
game of lacrosse. We will have at least one goalie at the
clinic to teach goalie play.

Sunday March 15th and Sunday,
March 22nd.
The U13 and U15 players will
play from 1:00PM to 2:30PM.
The U9 and U11 players will
play from 3:00PM to 4:30PM at
the Northwest Guilford HS
Lacrosse Practice Facility.
Come learn to play the
Viking way! Northwest alumni
players now playing on the
collegiate level will help teach
the players how to take their
game to the next level!
