Joint Conference with CADAT
CDAA held our Annual meeting this year in conjunction with CADAT in San Jose. Wow – what
a great event! Over 100 people, 7 speakers and 12 product vendors came together for a very
productive meeting. In addition to 11 units of education, there was great food, networking and
catching up with friends.
Those in attendance commented on how nice it was to interact with the teachers and how good
it is for the synergy of the two organizations. Months of preparation took place between the two
organizations to make this meeting come to fruition. A BIG shout out and thank you to those
who contributed to the success of this meeting.
Educational offerings:
Our speakers for the event were all well received with great evaluations from the audience. It
was also great that half of the speakers were members. It was a treat to have such a variety of
engaging speakers present to our groups. From science, to politics, to infection control, to
computers, the information shared was found to be very valuable indeed! Included in the
education were the sponsors who also shared in the success of this meeting. Their support and
presence enhanced the environment for both CDAA and CADAT members to take advantage of
some one on one time with each representative. The participants enjoyed the special attention
and the sponsors loved the ability to spend quality time with the attendees.
Fun, Fun, Fun! Not only was there opportunity to learn great information, and acquire 11 CEU’s,
meet new people, but also win prizes? Yes, it was true! There were over 35 donations for door
prizes, from typodonts to Coach purses…everyone came out a winner!
This meeting proved to be quite a great success of every level. It is the hope that he possibility
for future meetings will be explored for the coming year.
