Moment of Silence observed. Review & Approve Meeting Minutes Minutes Approved. Corrections/Previous Meeting -Nanette Benbo=Nanette Benbow -Kathy Zamor=Kathy Jacobs McLoyd -Engelwood=Englewood -Edgar Gutierrez will be the liaison to the RW director role in CAHISC matters and not the official liason; while Chris Widmer’s position remains unseated Review Meeting Agenda -Agenda circulated and reviewed Meeting Notes/Minutes Action Needed (what/who/when) Kathy Jacobs-McLoyd 1st motion brought by Anne Statton & 2nd by Michelle Agnoli Page 1 of 2 Minutes CDPH Updates -Joe Hollendonor will be resigning in April as the 1st Deputy of CDPH (CEO) -Site Visits conducted by CDPH are completed -Edgar will be out of the office until 2/22/2016 -Nanette Benbow’s last day was 2/2/2016 -David Kern has begun his new role as Deputy Commissioner of the HIV/STI Division of CDPH -Dr. Stephanie Schuetty will be making an E-HARS based data presentation at the next full body meeting on 2/24/2016 -NHBC data and Latino specific data will also be included in Dr. Stephanie Schuetty’s presentation -A total of 8 proposals have been received by the department related to the expansion of HIV Primary Care Services in Englewood and Uptown CAHISC Workplan Goals 12, 13,&14of the CAHISC 2016 work plan are directly related to the ART & Viral Suppression Committee and will guide the work of this committee, they are; #12- Increase the number of people in the Chicago EMA who access ART #13-Increase the number of people living with HIV in the Chicago EMA who are virally suppressed #14-Decrease disparities of those less likely to be on ART or virally suppressed Brought by Gail Patton -Ann felt that a focus group or survey with providers/physicians would not yield as great a return as a focus group or survey with case managers and pharmacists. The group agreed to modify the approach under the Expected Outcome of goal #12 to forming a focus group of case managers, pharmacists and other personnel involved in adherence support -Adolfo recommended leveraging data from past presentations (such as Drilling down the DATA) to guide the focus and format of the focus groups -Ann recommended that AFC could provide data regarding “Best Practices” from Case Management data and experience -Much subsequent discussion took place in the group surrounding the role that Case Managers play as it relates to adherence and its role in both Anti-Retroviral treatment & Viral Suppression Meeting Notes/Minutes Page 2 of 2 Minutes Action items -Chad Hendry was nominated to be the Interim co-chair of the ART & Viral Suppression Committee while Sara Zamor is away on maternity leave. The group agreed and Kathy will send him an email Major Conclusion and/or Recommendations from Committee - Ann felt that a focus group or survey with providers/physicians would not yield as great a return as a focus group or survey with case managers and pharmacists; the group agreed to modify this approach accordingly -Michelle Agnoli will continue to represent AVSC committee in MAG meetings to coordinate the assessment of case management participation in adherence activities. -Mayon Yen will serve as liaison to AFC in promoting case management participation in the formation of focus groups and in gathering best practice data on adherence practices. Meeting Evaluation Surveys were circulated for meeting evaluation. Announcements Michelle Agnoli is resigning as interim director at MATEC and announced that a search is currently underway to fill the position of MATEC Illinois Site Director Ann Staton announced Case Management and Senior administrative positions available at PACPI Kathy McLoyd announce positions available at the CORE center Adolfo Luna announced that he is leaving his position a Chicago House and that they also have open positions Meeting Adjourn Kathy McLoyd motioned to adjourn, It was seconded by Ann Staton meeting adjourned @ 2:12PM Meeting Notes/Minutes Page 3 of 2
