Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE), which is situated in Beijing, is a key
state university under the leadership of the Ministry of Education. While its main focus is
economics and management, many students also major in law, liberal arts and science.
The University was established in 1949 shortly after the founding of the People’s Republic of
China. With sustainable efforts and work of its members of faculty staff, CUFE boasts an
excellent school spirit and strong guiding principles in school management and operations.
During the past 55 years we have trained 60,000 graduates in economics and management,
making a significant contribution to China. CUFE has become a key resource for first-class
specialized personnel in economics and management. CUFE consists of 8 schools, 6
independent departments, and 21 research institutions as well as a graduate school, a school
of continuing education and a school of international cultural exchange.
